Tea! [The Doctor peaks up. Always tea] Good for the synapses.

[There's a long pause. Ten is waggling his tongue in thought about the question. Has any of his faces been to New Orleans.]

No, can't say I have. [An undertone of; and for him. That's saying a lot. Being so well-traveled.]

Tea I can do. [Hey, you never know until you ask. One day the Doctor may feel like mixing it up a bit and wanting something else, though he's the main reason why Remy started keeping tea around, even if it's not his personal choice in drinks. He can't help it, he was raised on coffee well before he should had been drinking it. Some sweet beignets and hot coffee packed with lots of sugar had always been a wonderful treat when Remy could had afforded it as a kid on the streets, especially in winter. Not that New Orleans really got that cold, but when you were a kid who had only lived there at that point in his life, it was cold enough to be happy to be holding onto a warm cup on the coldest days.

Remy let out a played up 'ahh' at the Doctor's answer, as if it was the worse possible thing the Doctor has missed out on.] Ya must sometime! She be a city of magic, I think ya'd really like it there, lots of stories to hear. 'm sure ya can explain everything that goes on there, but sometimes it's nice to pretend and play along with stuff even if ya know it ain't real. [Or sometimes it was real, as Remy well knew. Zombies, vampires, voodoo, he's ran into all of it down home. His city was a weird one, but he loved it. Always full of mystery and always ready to find something new.]

Ya know, if there ever a possibility for ya to jump 'nto my universe once we free of this, [Because it certainly has happened from other universes, though they tended to be ones who still had mutants in it.] I will absolutely show ya the best Mardi Gras ya could get.

[A distressed look. He would love to. Expect. He can't.] I would absolutely love to. But the last time I universe hopped almost killed my Tardis.

Well the French certainly left their mark on the city, but everyone likes a big party, no matter where ya from.

That depends, ya meanin' Mardi Gras, or ya talkin' of all the stories the city's got hidden in it? 'cause if ya talkin' the first, mostly drinkin' 'nd being merry. After all, it's a time to sin before ya have to repent, so gotta make the most of it before ya ask for forgiveness. [Remy moved back across the room, carrying the Doctor's tea and his own coffee in his hand, placing the tea down first before moving to take a seat with his own drink.] If ya talkin' the second, mon Dieu, where to start? Ya want the Axeman's jazz, or how 'bout vampire nuns?

[Remy shrugged off the last part as he took a sip of coffee.] Maybe so, maybe not. Universe jumpin' be pretty common back home, or at least much more than it really should be. Some stick 'round, some head right back off. Stranger things have happened than a random person suddenly poppin' in for a bit before goin' back off to their own world.
